Fog blanket - Part 1

If I remember correctly, the last time the area experienced such dense and long-lasting fog was in 2013. Being inside or underneath it isn’t particularly uplifting. Above it, however, spectacular photos can be taken. In mid-December, Dávid and I monitored the webcams and the weather forecast for several days. Eventually, we decided to head up to the Zengő lookout tower. It turned out to be a good decision. When we reached the top, this was the view that greeted us: the fog was flowing at the base of the TV tower, and only the very tops of the Mecsek mountains were visible above the sea of vapor.

Because of the fog’s height, the possibilities were somewhat limited. Near Hosszúhetény, the peak of Hármashegy was just barely visible.

To the north, Dobogó, the highest point of Tolna County, could be seen.

And Tubes, with the János lookout tower, also rose above the blanket of fog.

The TV tower from closer up.

Sunset was approaching.

The drone also came out for a few shots.

In the next part, I’ll bring the photos of the sunset.
