Óbánya in wintertime 2
Yesterday morning, 2 centimeters of snow fell, so I went down to Óbánya to do some photography.
The waders proved to be useful once again. The stream near Óbánya was almost entirely frozen over, though the area around the inclined waterfall had somewhat better conditions. I mostly walked on the frozen stream, and several times the ice cracked underneath me, but thanks to the waders, I didn’t have to worry about it. Where the ice cover wasn’t fully joined, the water froze into interesting shapes. I took a few photos while lying on the ice, after finding a stable point and bracing myself to avoid slipping. By the time I arrived at the larger waterfall before the bridge, there were already three people photographing. While everyone was diligently searching for the perfect angle, a small crowd gathered.
