Above the fog - Part 1
I had set a pretty early alarm. After waking up, I quickly checked a few webcam feeds. I came to terms with the painful fact that it was time to say goodbye to my bed, the fog looked too promising to miss. I started the day near Orfű. The edge of the fog, lit by the rising sun above the hills, made for a rewarding subject. The lookout tower in Orfű was just barely peeking out of the mist.
The light was beautiful, soft and atmospheric. There’s one photo in particular where I only realized afterward what I was actually seeing: in the background, you can spot Kövestető, Hármashegy, and Zengő, with the fog “flowing” right over Zengő’s ridge. If I had recognized this while shooting, I definitely would’ve tried to get a closer look somehow. But that’s how it goes, this time, this is what I got. Still, the day was far from over. After wrapping up in Orfű, I continued on. To be continued in the next part.
