Motorbike fun

We came up with the idea of taking a few motorcycle shots using a slightly longer shutter speed, keeping the bike and rider sharp while nicely blurring the background. A little play with shutterspeed and motion. I had a location in mind where the road is in good condition, straight, and in a remote area. We went out before sunset so the light would be lower, making it easier to reach the desired shutterspeed. This was a test run, to try out certain techniques and camera features. Hopefully next time, the three of us can go, and based on what we learned today, we’ll be able to pull off the shoot more effectively. My favorite shot is the one where the setting sun flares in the rear-view mirror.
