Seasons, change - Part 8 - Orfű
I embarked on a more ambitious project: to show the changes of the four seasons. The drone can do something neat — it can return to almost the same point with GPS precision (to within a few meters). From this came the idea that all I needed to do was go out a few times to the same location and make one photo for each of the four seasons. I looked around the area a bit, trying to imagine how the landscape might look if the changes spanned such a wide spectrum. I actually started at several places so that I’d have a good selection at the end. Here is the eighth group from this project. From left to right, top to bottom: spring, summer, autumn, winter.
As I began, I knew it would be useful to go at roughly the same time of day, in most cases, the photos were taken either after sunrise or before sunset so that the light would be more optimal. Fortunately, very early on I also came up with the idea that since I was doing the project, I didn’t necessarily have to stop at just four photos. The number of visits and the visibility of the changes vary by location. At the Orfű lake, I liked both the 2×2 and 2×4 arrangements. From the top left is spring, and at the 4th or at the 8th image is winter.
I’m also posting the 8 states separately.
