Dávid and I decided to go to the oxbow lake before sunrise and try to capture the still-drowsy, inactive dragonflies. On the way to the location, I noticed that it was likely turning into a fog photography session instead. Although I looked around quickly, I couldn’t spot any dragonflies nearby. So instead, I took out the drone and observed the landscape. The scenery was wrapped in a minimal yet atmospheric fog. Since it was still before sunrise, I had time to explore the area a bit.
Slowly, the sun began to appear behind the fog.
I really liked the mood created by the fog surrounding a tree standing in a wheat field. I also found a few poppies at the edge of the field.
I did another round with the drone. I also checked out the nearby winding Drava River. The sunlight filtering through the fog between the trees created a truly mystical atmosphere.
In the end, I didn’t find any dragonflies, but getting up early was still worth it.
